About The Position

The Graphic Designer at First Ridgeland Baptist Church is responsible for creating all official forms of communication related to the church's ministries and operations. Requirements

• Strong & growing personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Dedicated to advancing the First Ridgeland's mission through impactful and inspiring graphic design
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
• Knowledge of project management software like Asana and Dropbox
• Strong visual and communication skills with attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and able to handle multiple projects at a time
• Effectively plans and schedules personal time to maximize productivity
• Regular timely attendance during stated/negotiated hours

Responsibilities

• Responsible to the Executive Pastor and Communications Director
• Serves as a member of the church staff team
• Works closely with church staff to understand and fulfill design needs
• Manages multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery
• Prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Stays up to date on design trends and best practices in graphic design and church communications
• Proposes and implements innovative design ideas to enhance church communications and engagement
• Prepares files for print and digital distribution, ensuring correct formats and resolutions
• Creates visual content for emails, sermons, events, social media, website, etc.
• Designs promotional materials such as flyers, posters, brochures, signage, and banners
• Supports other creative and administrative tasks as needed
