About the position

The Graphic Designer at Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) will play a crucial role in creating graphic design products that support marketing, communications, and outreach campaigns. This position requires a strong background in graphic design, with responsibilities including brainstorming original ideas, coordinating with teams, and ensuring quality and consistency in design deliverables. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a passion for visual storytelling and a commitment to client service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with delivery teams under the supervision of a senior designer or project manager to execute effective graphic design for communications and marketing campaigns.
  • Act as a visual storyteller, offering creative solutions based on written and visual content.
  • Generate creative and original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences and communicating key messages.
  • Brainstorm, create, and present design solutions to clients and/or delivery teams.
  • Guide products from inception to completion, ensuring quality control and consistency on final projects.
  • Develop templates and format Microsoft Office document templates for reports, presentations, and proposals.
  • Ensure adherence to accessibility laws prior to client delivery, including 508 compliance.
  • Ensure consistent branding on all materials prior to client delivery.
  • Think critically and apply customer and industry insight to solve client problems creatively and quickly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Photography, Communications, Media, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working for a Creative Agency, PR/Marketing Agency, or government contractor.
  • An electronic portfolio with strong work samples.
  • Skilled use of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong graphic design skills and the ability to design and develop in multiple print and digital mediums.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to develop, design, and/or format reports.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and branding guidelines.
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and deliver multiple complex projects on deadline.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Government consulting or contracting experience.
  • Experience in health, benefits, IT communications, and/or with Veteran and/or military audiences.
  • Experience in brand development.
  • Section 508 compliance experience.
