About the position

The Graphic Designer position at Magellan Health, Inc. is a pivotal role that focuses on providing comprehensive design solutions and services tailored to meet the needs of both external and internal customers. This includes existing clients, prospective clients, account managers, and sales teams. The designer will leverage their working knowledge and experience with a variety of graphics software to create impactful proposal and non-proposal communication materials. These materials encompass marketing collateral, posters, presentations, and proposals, all aimed at enhancing the company's visual communication strategy. In this role, the Graphic Designer will be instrumental in the development and oversight of a graphics library and graphic submission processes. They will also provide ongoing training to staff on graphics and production-related processes, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to produce high-quality reproductions of final copies of proposals, presentations, and other communication pieces for delivery to both internal and external customers. The designer will serve as a liaison with external vendors, including those providing equipment and office supplies, to ensure that all necessary resources are available and operational. The responsibilities extend to designing corporate materials, which include proposal graphics, cover art, posters, and newsletters. The designer will produce proposal responses and sales presentations while assisting in the coordination and maintenance of production schedules. Collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team is essential for developing and maintaining corporate branding documentation. The role also involves customizing and developing client-specific materials to meet RFP requirements associated with pre and post-sale documents, ensuring that all deliverables align with client expectations and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive design solutions and services for external and internal customers.
  • Utilize graphics software to create marketing materials, posters, presentations, and proposals.
  • Develop and oversee graphics library and graphic submission processes.
  • Train staff on graphics and production-related processes.
  • Produce quality reproductions of proposals, presentations, and other communication pieces.
  • Serve as a liaison with external vendors for equipment and office supplies.
  • Design proposal and corporate materials including proposal graphics, cover art, posters, and newsletters.
  • Produce proposal responses and sales presentations; assist in coordinating production schedules.
  • Develop and maintain corporate branding documentation in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or a production environment.
  • Extensive experience working with external vendors including designers, printers, and fulfillment houses.
  • Ability to comprehend and convert proposal language into graphic images.
  • Demonstrated design and project management skills with the ability to produce superior designs and strategies.
  • Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Flexibility in setting and managing priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Mature judgment and discretion.
  • Web design and content management experience.
  • Proficiency in Macintosh and PC, Quark Express, Adobe Publishing Collection, and Adobe InDesign.
