The Graphic Designer/Control Specialist role at SPECTRAFORCE is a dynamic position focused on creating and managing product labeling. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of design principles, as the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all labeling meets specified requirements and standards. The position involves collaborating with team members to resolve discrepancies in labeling and executing data management tasks within an electronic document management system. The Graphic Designer will also assist project leaders in the development, design, and implementation of product labeling, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision. In this role, the Graphic Designer will be expected to design from concept, create layouts, illustrations, and publish artwork. They will ensure that all labeling is created or revised according to the provided requirements and that all typesetting of packaging components, including text, graphics, chemical structures, and bar codes, adheres to established guidelines. The designer will work closely with the team to finalize artwork and submit it for agency approval, maintaining clear traceability through multiple revisions. Proficiency in Adobe software such as Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is essential, as is the ability to proofread product labeling to ensure conformance to all inputs using both manual techniques and electronic comparator software. The role also requires verifying that labeling artwork meets specification requirements, including dimensions, tolerances, and readability. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for managing product data and document entries in the electronic document management system while meeting project timelines and commitments. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence for training and two days a week thereafter, making it essential for candidates to be adaptable and ready to engage with the team in person.
