About the position

CMT is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our team and support our mission of shaping infrastructure solutions. This role involves working collaboratively with marketing, communications, and technical staff across all levels and locations to create compelling visual assets for business development and internal and external communications. This position will play a key role in visually communicating our brand and messaging across various platforms and increasing CMT's visibility in both new and existing markets.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire basic industry knowledge and skills while working under CMT's Marketing Manager for support, coaching, and direction to develop branded marketing collateral, advertisements, proposal layout & data visualization, maps & graphical exhibits, website & social media content, reports & client deliverables, internal & external presentations and resources, learning & development materials, video production & motion graphics.
  • Utilize design software and/or marketing software to develop content and follow processes.
  • Build and maintain cooperative and trusting relationships with Marketing teammates and technical staff.
  • Submit quality work for review and approval in a timely manner.
  • Uphold marketing standards and brand usage guidelines.
  • Participate in efforts towards continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Align with and embrace CMT's mission and core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing and/or communications techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Novice or basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat Pro).
  • Demonstrated experience in designing materials for print and digital publishing.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and layout.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Basic copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Basic problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to demonstrate responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Ability to provide a design portfolio and/or recent work samples.
