About the position

We are seeking a freelance Graphic Designer to join Jamie Turner, a fine jewelry company based in Austin, Texas. This part-time role involves collaborating closely with the Creative Director to shape the brand's design aesthetic and produce visually compelling assets for both e-commerce and print. The designer will be responsible for maintaining design consistency across various platforms and will participate in design reviews and team meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Creative Director on the overall look and feel of the brand's design aesthetic.
• Lead the design and development of E-commerce and Print assets for Jamie Turner, ensuring visually compelling and highly functional visuals that align with brand identity.
• Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines, ensuring consistency across digital and physical touchpoints.
• Design and help implement beautiful, compelling and on-brand e-mails, ads, and web designs.
• Design premium, luxury Look Books, packaging, and print collateral for Jamie Turner.
• Actively bring ideas for both digital and print design direction to conversations and in design reviews.
• Oversee design timelines for all projects inclusive of scheduling stakeholder reviews and press checks.
• Communicate effectively and frequently with team members on current projects, design performance, and be able to defend design work and speak persuasively about how the designs support the business goals.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showing both print and digital design work for established brands, preferably in the jewelry and fashion.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to pitch ideas and designs to leadership.
• 5+ years experience as a graphic designer.
• Expert in the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for fashion and/or jewelry marketing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Dropbox.
