About the position

The Graphic/UI Designer at ClearGov will play a crucial role in shaping the visual language of the company's digital products aimed at local governments and school districts. This position involves collaborating with product designers to create user-friendly interfaces and marketing materials that effectively communicate the company's value proposition. The designer will have opportunities for mentorship and professional growth in a creative environment focused on financial and budgeting SaaS applications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product designers to create visually appealing and effective user interfaces for financial and budgeting SaaS applications.
  • Design intuitive visual components and design patterns that enhance the usability of the product suite.
  • Develop marketing materials that align with and reinforce the brand identity, supporting sales initiatives and customer acquisition.
  • Assist in maintaining and documenting the product design system and brand guidelines.
  • Produce sales and marketing materials, including website updates, presentations, and event collateral to drive business growth.
  • Implement and maintain brand consistency across all design work.
  • Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive product prototypes using Figma.

Requirements

  • Experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing digital and print marketing materials, plus website and user interface visual designs.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong visual design skills with an eye for typography, color, and layout.
  • Familiarity with the principles of user-centered design.
  • Experience in creating high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain design choices.
  • Experience with or interest in SaaS product design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
  • Experience or interest in data visualization design.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira.
