Reporting to the Graphics Managing Editor, this position will be responsible for creating data visualizations, maps, and graphics for News from Science and the Science family of journals. The ideal candidate will not only have strong design and typographic sensibilities, but will also be passionate about collaborating with reporters, researchers, and editors to assemble, sift through, and use data to discover trends and tell visual stories. Your responsibilities will also include designing graphics for both print and web with an eye for responsive and accessible design, as well as creating interactive graphics that engage our audience. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the visual storytelling of scientific research and news, making complex data accessible and engaging for a broad audience.
