The role of a Grill Cook is crucial in helping create an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors. By preparing top-quality food in our open kitchens, our grill cooks help create CAVA fanatics. This position requires adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards. Grill cooks will follow recipes and procedures to maintain food quality and consistency, restock cook stations, and keep them clean and organized. This role is physically demanding, as it requires standing and/or walking for an entire shift, and being constantly in motion to deliver mind-blowing meals to our guests. In addition to cooking, grill cooks will be responsible for putting deliveries away and assisting with any additional duties assigned. The role may also involve cross-training across the restaurant to ensure rapid growth. Physical requirements include the ability to bend and reach overhead, handle cooking equipment, and work in varying temperatures, including near open flames. Communication with team members is essential, and the ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and safety is critical.
