About the position

As a Grind and Polish Tech at PPG, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that high-quality products are produced and available to customers. Your responsibilities will include operating and maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting issues, and assisting junior operators, all while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment and supplies before executing job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
• Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer production equipment between warehouse and working area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull 51 lbs or more.
