About The Position

The Grocery Manager is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and managing the grocery, frozen, and dairy departments in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director. This role involves overseeing operations, human relations, and compliance with company policies to maintain efficient and profitable department functions.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of store experience.
• Must maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods (up to 6 hours).
• Ability to bend, lift, and perform all other physical aspects of the job.
• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests entering the grocery department.
• Maintain proper stock levels in grocery, dairy, and frozen departments.
• Interview, train, schedule, and evaluate performance of grocery department team members.
• Manage grocery, dairy, and frozen merchandising and ensure proper rotation procedures.
• Order seasonal merchandise and maintain records of movement.
• Coordinate and maintain displays and quantity purchases.
• Handle grocery and dairy/frozen ad estimates and purchasing.
• Coordinate with grocery DSD partners on displays and buy-ins.
• Ensure organization, appearance, safety, and stock levels in the backroom, including frozen and dairy vaults.
• Motivate and delegate responsibilities to team members to instill excellence.
• Coordinate cleanliness and maintenance needs with the Service Manager.
• Safeguard and monitor all store assets, ensuring policies are implemented.
