About the position
The Grocery Manager at Firelake Express Grocery plays a crucial role in the overall operation of the store, assisting the Store Manager in various aspects of management. This position is primarily focused on ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a customer-friendly environment. The Grocery Manager is responsible for establishing and upholding customer service standards, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining high standards of service, and possessing solid product knowledge. The role also involves training and developing staff, assessing their performance regularly, and implementing strategies to maximize sales and profitability. In addition to customer service, the Grocery Manager is tasked with overseeing merchandising standards, which includes display presentation, signing standards, and monitoring inventory levels. The manager will plan and assign daily goals and tasks to associates, ensuring proper completion through follow-up. Analyzing sales performance through sales reports and comparison shopping is also a key responsibility, allowing the Grocery Manager to adjust strategies as necessary to meet sales targets. Adherence to store policies and procedures, as well as tribal regulations, is essential in this role. The Grocery Manager will also manage various office tasks, including handling funds, receiving inventory, and maintaining accurate inventory control. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to perform additional duties and projects as required by management.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- An associate's degree or related field is preferred.
