About the position

The Ground Operations Crew at JetBlue Airways is responsible for loading and unloading customer bags, operating ground service equipment, and coordinating the servicing of aircraft. This part-time position requires individuals to assist customers, prepare aircraft cabins for departure, and perform ramp service duties, all while ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer bags from aircraft and baggage systems.
• Operate ground service equipment including motor vehicles, tugs, and de-icing equipment.
• Service aircraft by operating equipment such as potable water trucks and lavatory trucks.
• Prepare aircraft cabin for customer boarding and departure, including cleaning tasks.
• Assist customers with special needs during boarding.
• Guide aircraft to and from parking locations.
• Communicate effectively using handheld radios and maintain proper radio etiquette.
• Ensure a safe working environment and operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service or sales experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
