About the position

The Operational Improvement Specialist at CEVA Logistics plays a crucial role in enhancing the operational, financial, and quality performance of the CEVA Network station. This position focuses on identifying inefficiencies, implementing Lean methodologies, and managing continuous improvement projects to ensure operational excellence. The specialist will collaborate with various teams to foster process development and standardization, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of becoming a global leader in logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements through Lean methodologies to streamline processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis on operational issues and develop corrective actions to support site performance and customer quality.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion.
  • Monitor and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of improvement activities and report progress to management.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on Lean principles and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Lead the station's road to excellence within the Ground Transport Classification Assessment program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for Lean initiatives.
  • Promote the adoption of cross-country/regional rolled out tools and processes.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Transportation, Management, or Administration.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in transport operations or Lean/continuous improvements.
  • Experience in managing transport or logistics-related continuous improvements and/or IT projects.
  • Knowledge of transport operations and freight management or contract logistics and warehousing operations.
  • Good analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies (PDCA, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in process engineering and management.
  • Specific theoretical and practical training in Supply Chain, Lean, Engineering, or Transportation.
