About the position

As a Ramp Agent at Alliance Ground International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely flight operations by providing essential ground support services. This position involves working outdoors in a fast-paced, safety-focused aviation environment, where you will handle baggage, cargo, and aircraft operations while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts in a safe manner.
  • Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction.
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure the equipment is free of any danger.
  • Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag cart, lavatory cart, and deicers; or manually push and pull push carts and containers.
  • Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.
  • Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, which could include wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and other vital property of passengers, and prepare records in connection with these responsibilities.
  • Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures and enter data into company's information system as required.
  • Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure we are always operating in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Complete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or Canada as defined by respective immigration laws.
  • Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
