Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced GSE Maintenance Operations department.
  • Identify and check tools, test equipment and certain commodities in and out of the warehouse.
  • Service, receive, clean, transport, inventory storage and account for tools, test equipment, parts and commodities used in daily operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks of general nature, such as servicing and transporting equipment.
  • Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing head light/tail lights, wiper blades, and oil changes, excluding troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine fluid and vehicle operational inspections.
  • Handle limited cart and dolly work, excluding welding and major structural repairs.
  • Conduct surface treatment on engines, aircraft, and component parts with chemicals and sandblasting equipment.
  • Perform automotive and light truck tire build up and servicing.
  • Assist Technicians with work as requested.
  • Perform minor repairs on food service equipment.
  • Work around the clock shifts including weekends and holidays, in outdoor conditions.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned and outlined in the CBA.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Mechanical competence.
  • Working knowledge of tools associated with aircraft and automotive repair or ability to work with cleaning solutions and chemicals.
  • Strong social skills and the ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment.
  • Good verbal, written, communication and computer skills.
  • Mobility requirements include lifting, carrying, crawling, and ladder climbing.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Customer focused.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid state driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Certificate from an accredited trade school.
