About the position

The Electrical Engineering Intern position at MTS Systems offers a unique opportunity for students to engage in hands-on engineering projects within the Ground Road Vehicle team. This internship is designed to provide a collaborative environment where interns can contribute to the design and development of advanced durability and performance test systems for automotive clients. Interns will work on real-world challenges, receive mentorship, and gain valuable experience that will enhance their professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engineering design, development, analysis, and support activities on new and existing MTS products.
• Engage in shorter duration engineering projects that provide a learning experience.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects from start to finish during the internship.
• Present project outcomes to MTS business leaders at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Eager to learn with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities through extracurricular or academic activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Must be able to work onsite at the Eden Prairie, MN location.
