About the position

The Groundskeeper at Vesta Property Services is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of the grounds and landscapes of the properties managed by the company. This role involves ensuring that facilities and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functional quality of the community environments.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining landscapes, including pruning trees and shrubs.
• Cultivating, watering, and spraying ornamental plants.
• Preparing and treating soils for planting and setting out plants.
• Weeding, trimming, and mulching plants using gardening tools.
• Picking up debris, changing trash bags in trash cans, and cleaning restrooms.
• Performing general cleanup of grounds and facilities.
• Pressure washing to remove dirt on sidewalks, pavements, and driveways.
• Inspecting, cleaning, and repairing tools and equipment related to the assignment.
• Providing support for special events, such as sports leagues, tournaments, and community events.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of grounds maintenance and upkeep needs.
• Ability to maintain a clean and functional workspace.
• Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.
• Ability to use lawn mowers and power tools, and a strong understanding of water systems.
• Ability to operate power equipment and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
