About the position

The Groundperson is responsible for assisting in vegetation management by gathering and feeding brush and debris into a woodchipper, while ensuring safety by scanning for trip and fall hazards. This role also involves maintaining equipment and materials, contributing to the overall efficiency of line clearance services provided by Asplundh, a nationwide utility contractor.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper.
• Service vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
