About the position
The Groundperson is responsible for assisting in vegetation management by gathering and feeding brush and debris into a woodchipper, ensuring safety by scanning for trip and fall hazards, and maintaining equipment. This entry-level position offers opportunities for growth within a nationwide utility contractor known for its commitment to safety and efficiency in line clearance services.
Responsibilities
- Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
- Drag, gather, and feed brush into woodchipper.
- Service vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
- Valid driver's license required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
