About the position
The Groundperson is responsible for assisting in vegetation management by gathering and feeding brush and debris into a woodchipper, ensuring safety by scanning for trip and fall hazards, and maintaining equipment and materials. This entry-level position requires a valid CDL and involves physical labor in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
- Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper.
- Service vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
