About the position

Maintain safe and attractive grounds and landscaping for the district and other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and attractive grounds and landscaping for the district.
• Perform other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the Maintenance Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Landscape Irrigator's License.
• Ability to read architectural and engineered drawings, specifications and diagrams.
• Ability to measure and perform mathematical computations.
• Ability to design, install and maintain complete lawn/landscape irrigation systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate and use a wide variety of equipment, including hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and with other district maintenance personnel.
• Extensive knowledge in the use of equipment, materials, methods, plantings, practices and procedures associated with landscaping and irrigation.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical school or course credits in arboriculture, horticultural and/or floriculture desirable but not required.
