About the position
The Grounds Technician - Multifamily at Hines is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the property grounds and amenities. This entry-level position supports the service team and ensures compliance with safety standards while addressing maintenance requests and resident inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Examine the property to remove litter, debris, and other items to ensure cleanliness.
- Inform appropriate contacts and supervisors of potential hazards and harmful situations.
- Remove trash debris from apartments prior to occupancy and maintain areas as needed.
- Complete minor and routine service requests and assist other team members as needed.
- Support cost-cutting and expense control programs by verifying parts for repair.
- Respond to questions from service members and residents respectfully, addressing complaints about maintenance services.
- Distribute communications and information to residents.
- Ensure safety information is current and accessible, complying with OSHA and safety laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One or more years of related experience preferred.
- Driver's license to operate machinery on property.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organization, and strong multitasking abilities.
