About the position

We are seeking a skilled Groundskeeper and Maintenance professional to join our team at Fawn Brook Estates, located in Maquoketa, Iowa. The role involves ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the mobile home park, including the grounds, buildings, and equipment, with the primary goal of providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and watering plants.
• Inspect buildings and equipment for damage and perform repairs as needed.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and expenses.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the property is in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in groundskeeping and maintenance.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and power tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in groundskeeping or a related field.
• Experience working in a mobile home park or similar environment.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to property maintenance.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform minor carpentry and painting tasks.
