About The Position

The Groundskeeper at Mishawum Park is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the grounds and buildings within a 337-unit apartment development in Charlestown, MA. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail, as the property is a visible community within the neighborhood. The position involves both routine maintenance tasks and seasonal grounds care, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Requirements

• 2+ years' hands-on experience with facilities maintenance, cleaning, and/or grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and take an active role on the team.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean grounds and remove litter daily.
• Provide daily upkeep of the various buildings and grounds including both interior and exterior cleaning and removal of trash.
• Take ownership and show pride in overall care of grounds.
• Perform necessary seasonal grounds maintenance including winter snow/ice removal, leaf clean-up in fall, and spring/summer lawn care using professional-grade landscaping equipment.
• Assist with completing basic work orders as requested.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned that are within the general scope of the position.
