About the position

The Groundskeeper at RiverWalk Flats is responsible for maintaining the property to enhance its curb appeal and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. This role involves a variety of tasks including landscaping, maintenance, and general upkeep of the grounds, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Checks and replaces exterior lighting regularly.
• Cleans and maintains the pool as directed if certified for pool maintenance.
• Maintains awareness of proper safety precautions at all times.
• Observes the condition of apartment property and reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
• Removes litter, debris, and pet droppings from the grounds.
• Ensures that storage areas remain locked when not in use.
• Performs 'trash-out' duties at vacated apartments each day.
• Cleans and rakes under shrubs; shovels mud when necessary.
• Uses blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush.
• Repairs and replaces windows, screens, sliding glass doors, etc.
• Assists with various physical tasks as directed by management.
• Performs interior and exterior painting duties when requested.
• Distributes resident communications to residents.
• Performs any additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in groundskeeping at a multi-family property or equivalent field.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
