About the position
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the community's outdoor spaces. This role involves various landscaping maintenance duties, ensuring that the grounds are well-kept and presentable while providing quality customer service. The position requires at least one year of groundskeeping experience and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the facility grounds including cleanliness and maintenance to company expectations.
- Report maintenance and/or grounds concerns to management.
- Mow lawns, treat weeds, trim trees and hedges, and perform general landscaping as requested by management.
- Upkeep of onsite buildings, sidewalks, and pool area (when applicable) including painting and power washing.
- Collect yard waste, trash/debris, clean building facilities, and empty common area trash containers.
- Maintain swimming pool and pool area.
- Dispense propane as needed.
- Maintain company-owned rental units (cleaning and repairing as needed).
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of groundskeeping experience.
- Customer service experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language effectively.
- Motivation and dedication to serving customers and a job well done.
- Proficient with various hand tools and power equipment.
- Must be within commuting distance from the property.
