About the position
The Groundsperson position at SavATree involves being part of the General Tree Care Team, responsible for providing high-quality tree care services to maintain and preserve the health of clients' landscapes. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors, visiting various properties while applying expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety. The position emphasizes teamwork and the safe operation of equipment to deliver excellent service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a General Tree Care crew to provide high-quality tree care services.
- Perform tasks related to pruning, removals, and cable bracing of trees.
- Safely operate equipment and perform assigned job tasks while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Apply expertise in climbing and tree care safety standards.
Requirements
- Experience with proper pruning practices for large shade trees and ornamentals.
- Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and understand their characteristics.
- Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation.
- Valid U.S. Driver's license; CDL is a plus.
- Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck).
- Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.
