About the position

The Group Accounting Reporting Manager at ByteDance plays a crucial role in the Accounting and Reporting team, which is responsible for overseeing general accounting functions across the US, Canada, and LATAM. This position is integral to managing group reporting processes, ensuring that financial data is delivered timely and accurately to senior management and other stakeholders. The role involves collaboration with regional accounting teams to coordinate local reporting tasks, ensuring that there is effective cross-regional communication and alignment. In addition to managing reporting processes, the Group Accounting Reporting Manager will analyze major complex transactions within the group. This includes ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the group's accounting policies, which is essential for maintaining compliance and integrity in financial reporting. The position requires a strong technical background in accounting, as well as the ability to navigate and manage large-scale multinational projects effectively. Responsibilities

  • Managing group reporting processes and delivering timely and accurate financial data to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with regional accounting teams on local reporting tasks and ensuring cross-regional coordination.
  • Analyzing major complex transactions within the group, ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the group's accounting policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in finance/accounting or in a similar field.
  • 5 years of working experience in a reporting role at the group level with solid technical skills, including experience in analyzing complex accounting processes and a comprehensive understanding of group reporting processes.
  • Proven communication skills with cross-functional and international teams, with experience in coordinating large-scale multinational projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of TMT industry practices of reporting process.
  • CICPA/AICPA/ACCA qualified.
