About the position

The Group Accounting Reporting Manager at ByteDance plays a crucial role within the AMS global accounting team, which is part of the broader Accounting and Reporting team. This position is responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions across the US, Canada, and LATAM regions. The team is tasked with managing the general ledger (GL) accounting and ensuring the month-end closing process is executed efficiently and accurately. The role involves collaboration with various regional accounting teams to facilitate local reporting tasks and ensure seamless cross-regional coordination. In this position, the Group Accounting Reporting Manager will manage group reporting processes, delivering timely and accurate financial data to senior management and other stakeholders. This includes analyzing major complex transactions within the group to ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of the group's accounting policies. The manager will also provide technical support for various accounting projects and assist with year-end reporting and audit inquiries as required.   • Analyzing major complex transactions within the group, ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the group's accounting policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in finance/accounting or in a similar field.
  • 5 years of working experience in a reporting role at the group level with solid technical skills, including experience in analyzing complex accounting processes and a comprehensive understanding of group reporting processes.
  • Proven communication skills with cross-functional and international teams, with experience in coordinating large-scale multinational projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of TMT industry practices of reporting process.
  • CICPA/AICPA/ACCA qualified.
