About the position

The Group Accounting Reporting Manager at ByteDance plays a crucial role within the AMS global accounting team, which is part of the broader Accounting and Reporting team. This position is responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions across the US, Canada, and LATAM regions. The primary focus of this role is to manage group reporting processes, ensuring that timely and accurate financial data is delivered to senior management and other stakeholders. This involves collaborating with regional accounting teams to coordinate local reporting tasks and ensuring effective cross-regional communication and collaboration. In addition to managing reporting processes, the Group Accounting Reporting Manager will analyze major complex transactions within the group. This includes ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the group's accounting policies, which is essential for maintaining compliance and integrity in financial reporting. The role requires a solid understanding of group reporting processes and the ability to analyze complex accounting processes effectively. The position also involves providing technical support for various accounting projects and assisting with year-end reporting and audit inquiries as required. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong communication skills, particularly in coordinating large-scale multinational projects, and will work closely with cross-functional and international teams to achieve the company's financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Managing group reporting processes and delivering timely and accurate financial data to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with regional accounting teams on local reporting tasks and ensuring cross-regional coordination.
  • Analyzing major complex transactions within the group, ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the group's accounting policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in finance/accounting or in a similar field.
  • 5 years of working experience in a reporting role at the group level with solid technical skills, including experience in analyzing complex accounting processes and a comprehensive understanding of group reporting processes.
  • Proven communication skills with cross-functional and international teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of TMT industry practices of reporting process.
  • CICPA/AICPA/ACCA qualified.
