About the position

The Group Benefits Account Manager will manage a diverse book of business for a privately held employee benefits company in metro Detroit. This hybrid role involves overseeing client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and facilitating problem resolution and client retention. The position allows for a flexible work environment after an initial training period.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding new clients
  • Responding to inquiries from clients and carriers
  • Completing RFP and request census
  • Initiating vendor renewal requests and coordinating the process with agents
  • Preparing Open Enrollment guides, checklists, forms, summaries, and webinars
  • Conducting Open Enrollment meetings, health fairs, and webinars
  • Participating in pre-renewal, renewal, and post-renewal meetings
  • Responsible for Compliance & Regulatory oversight with clients.

Requirements

  • Related experience in a group benefits setting
  • Active Life and Health license or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of employment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Brokerage Builder/ZyWave software
