About the position

The Group Benefits Account Manager at ADP serves as the primary contact for a portfolio of Group Health Insurance clients, managing and servicing their relationships. This role focuses on providing expert guidance on employee benefits, ensuring client satisfaction, loyalty, and retention through proactive support and consultative education. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients while navigating a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, acting as a liaison and internal advocate.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of clients' group health portfolios and ADP services.
  • Collaborate with various ADP partners including Product Management, Implementation, Payroll, and Sales.
  • Provide proactive, personalized support and act as the primary contact between clients and insurance carriers.
  • Manage benefit renewals, support Open Enrollment, and prepare quote proposals and benefit guides.
  • Assist clients in designing and implementing employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Negotiate with carriers to secure the best rates and terms for clients during renewals.
  • Conduct virtual meetings with clients to review benefits plans and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Resolve benefit service issues such as enrollments, carrier billing, coverage, and claims.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, benefits plans, and compliance documentation.
  • Maximize client retention by resolving issues impacting client relationships and soliciting feedback on benefit offerings.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of related insurance experience.
  • Life & Health Insurance Producer License.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous insurance industry experience with a brokerage or agency environment.
  • Experience with Benefits Administration platforms like Ease, Employee Navigator, or Flock.
  • Experience with insurance quoting platforms such as Zywave.
  • Relationship/Account management experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing client relationships with multiple products.
  • Prior experience managing service recovery.
  • Expert knowledge of ADP's infrastructure and product/services.
