About the position

The Group Benefits Account Manager is a hybrid role within a privately held employee benefits company located in metro Detroit. This position involves managing a diverse book of business, ranging from 25 to 300 lives, and ensuring customer satisfaction, problem resolution, and client retention. The role requires collaboration with a dedicated account team and offers the flexibility of working from home three days a week after an initial training period.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding new clients
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and carriers
  • Complete RFP and request census
  • Initiate vendor renewal request with Service Rep. and coordinate process with the agent to negotiate all renewal rate relief
  • Prepare Open Enrollment guides, checklists, forms, summaries and webinars
  • Conduct OE meetings, health fairs and webinars
  • Participate in the pre-renewal, renewal and post renewal meetings
  • Responsible for Compliance & Regulatory oversight with clients.

Requirements

  • Related experience in group benefits setting
  • Active Life and Health license or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of employment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Brokerage Builder/ZyWave software
