About the position

The Group Creative Director at Movement Strategy is responsible for overseeing various accounts, leading new business pitches, and setting the creative direction for high-profile brands with a social-centric focus. This role involves managing a cross-functional team, building strong client relationships, and advocating for innovative creative solutions that exceed client goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing and social media, particularly with large brands and high-volume content production.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee various accounts and lead new business pitches.
  • Set the creative direction for high-profile brands with a social-centric focus.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and guide creative teams, including writers, art directors, and designers.
  • Collaborate with agency teams to understand clients' brand strategies and marketing objectives.
  • Ensure high standards of creative execution through reviews and quality control.
  • Manage creative budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Lead pitch processes and develop impactful creative concepts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in creative roles within the advertising industry.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Creative Director managing 10+ direct reports.
  • Portfolio showcasing award-winning conceptual thinking and execution.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media, particularly with large brands.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging social platforms and creative nuances per platform.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in advertising, marketing, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Brand, Beauty, Fashion, Home Goods, and/or CPG sectors.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and cloud-based design tools like Express and Figma.
  • Experience leading both art and copy members of a creative team.
