About the position

The Group Creative Director / Executive Creative Director at SRW Agency is a pivotal leadership role responsible for evolving and upholding the agency's creative standards while mentoring and developing the creative team. This position requires a strong background in either copywriting or art direction and involves leading the agency's creative practice to enhance client services across various marketing channels. The ideal candidate will possess a cohesive vision for creative output and will actively participate in new business initiatives, ensuring that the agency's creative capabilities are effectively communicated and tailored to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creative vision and execution across all SRW clients on a day-to-day basis; serve as creative lead on key agency clients.
  • Lead the creative POV in new business initiatives, participate in pitches, and ensure that the creative practice is positioned for prospects' needs.
  • Work alongside department leads to ensure that creative best practices and processes are consistently applied at the agency.
  • Learn and understand clients' audience insights, product benefits, offers, KPIs, and brand standards to influence the work.
  • Understand consumer segments in relation to brand strategy, messaging, and platform.
  • Leverage data and industry trends to inform and drive creative ideas that are on strategy and positively impact results for clients.
  • Partner with Strategy, Shopper Marketing, and Media teams to sell in concepts from monthly content pitches to large-scale campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Influencer Marketing and Public Relations teams to develop ideas that are social savvy and garner earned media attention.
  • Represent agency leadership POV and rationale to the creative team and manage consistent communication to keep all team members updated on agency initiatives.
  • Help attract, recruit, and retain top talent throughout the creative department; strategize the right structures and next hires for the department.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a Creative Director or Senior Creative Director role.
  • 10+ years working in an agency setting.
  • Art Direction or Copywriting background; ability to provide leadership, mentorship, and direction on visuals and copy.
  • Strong portfolio of work showcasing integrated campaigns including concepting, video, social, earned media, and partnerships.
  • CPG experience required.
  • Shopper marketing experience (in addition to brand campaign experience) is highly desired.
  • Expertise in managing, mentoring, developing, and recruiting top creative talent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading creative teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for ideation and quick comping support.
