About the position

As a Creative in Marketing at Google, you will leverage your visual, design, written, and experiential skills to enhance Google products and services across various media, content, channels, and experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of the user and the technology that drives Google’s offerings, allowing you to connect the two in innovative ways. You will thrive in a flexible and dynamic environment, open to new influences and inspirations, while working collaboratively with a cross-functional team and inspiring vendor partners. Your responsibilities will include generating multiple concepts that support major media campaigns, rolling up your sleeves to design, mock, write, or prototype, and leading by example to develop breakthrough creative that aligns with the Google Marketing brand. Your role will also involve working closely with Creative Directors and Art Directors to create and execute compelling digital experiences for Google’s Online Store, Retail Campaigns, and CRM solutions. You will build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure that marketing efforts are seamlessly integrated with overall business goals. Staying attuned to emerging marketing trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors will be crucial, as you will identify opportunities to leverage these insights for competitive advantage and drive innovation in marketing campaigns. Additionally, you will manage and direct creative agencies to deliver exceptional ideas and execute them flawlessly, ensuring that all creative work meets the high standards expected at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Drive creative excellence through detailed execution and a keen eye for detail.
  • Communicate ideas and express the rationale behind design decisions.
  • Work with Creative Directors and Art Directors to create and execute digital experiences for Google Online Store, Retail Campaigns, and CRM solutions.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts with overall business goals.
  • Stay attuned to emerging marketing trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Manage and direct creative agencies to deliver great ideas and execute flawlessly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience working in a creative discipline (e.g., writing, filmmaking, video editing, design, art direction, photography, etc.).
  • 5 years of experience managing teams.
  • Experience with Figma.
  • A portfolio of creative work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with successful collaboration and cross-functional partnerships with global, regional, and local teams.
  • Experience in UX design and marketing technical products.
  • Ability to demonstrate new thinking around storytelling and how it is weaved in through-the-line integrated campaigns.
  • Creative sensibility and passion for culture, design, and trends in tech.
  • A track record illustrating a multi-discipline foundation, with a strength in visual.
