About the position

The Group Digital ProductOps Manager at Highmark Health plays a pivotal role in the management and delivery of digital products aimed at enhancing customer and clinician experiences. This position is integral to the organization's digital transformation efforts, which focus on fostering a culture centered around digital products and experiences. The incumbent will leverage agile delivery methodologies to work closely with organizational leaders across various functions to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and the successful delivery of next-generation digital experiences. The role involves developing strong relationships and facilitating collaborative sessions with stakeholders to ensure strategic decisions are well-aligned and vetted. In this capacity, the Group Digital ProductOps Manager will lead through influence, collaborating with cross-functional subject matter experts and team members to develop project plans and lead strategic processes throughout the product lifecycle. This includes facilitating the ongoing definition and delivery of product roadmaps, identifying key issues and dependencies, and supporting the prioritization of capabilities. The incumbent will also be responsible for presenting recommendations to senior leaders, addressing complex issues, and creating an environment where digital product teams can excel by employing critical thinking and strategic action, all while utilizing strong communication skills. The position requires overseeing the future planning of digital work across multiple products and platforms, ensuring that all digital teams are aligned on processes, tools, scope, requirements, timelines, and deliverables. The Group Digital ProductOps Manager will lead quarterly increment planning sessions, coordinate recurring operations meetings, and facilitate important agile ceremonies. Additionally, the role involves mentoring less senior Digital ProductOps Managers and ensuring effective operations across multiple products and platforms within the digital department.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the future planning of digital work that spans multiple products and platforms, ensuring alignment on scope, requirements, timelines, expectations, deliverables, milestones, and definition of done.
  • Leads/assists with quarterly increment planning sessions for multiple products, ensuring alignment with the overall digital vision and strategy of the organization.
  • Oversees the effective simultaneous operations of multiple products and platforms within the digital department.
  • Facilitates coordination of recurring operations meetings with representatives from various digital teams to ensure alignment.
  • Leads/assists with important agile ceremonies including PI planning, increment retros, increment demos, grooming sessions, etc.
  • Aligns closely with digital and non-digital senior leadership to measure and report on overall digital progress and outcomes.
  • Establishes project/platform/cross-platform level plans with timelines, assigns tasks, sequences dependencies, and ensures completion of deliverables.
  • Identifies, scopes, and resolves issues threatening to delay project, initiative, program, or product deliverables.
  • Mentors less senior Digital ProductOps Managers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Technology, Design, Healthcare or related field (or 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree).
  • 7 years of Product Management, Project Management, or Program Management or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years with Agile Process Methodology or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business, Science, Technology, Design, Healthcare or related field.
  • 4 years in the Healthcare Industry.
  • 5 years of managing large, complex projects.
