About The Position

The Group & Event Services Manager at The Verve Hotel is responsible for delivering exceptional service to hotel clients, focusing on achieving revenue goals and exceeding performance metrics. This role involves coordinating event details, managing room blocks, and ensuring effective communication between departments to enhance client experiences. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working collaboratively to create memorable events for guests.

Requirements

• 2+ years of sales experience in hotel sales or catering.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant preferred, or four years equivalent experience.
• Experience managing or using sales automation systems (Delphi.fdc preferred) and Property Management Systems.
• Current Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

• TIPS certification is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external clients through calls, emails, and hotel visits, preparing and distributing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to outline client needs.
• Conduct hotel site tours and meet with clients to finalize event or group details.
• Collaborate with operational departments, including banquets, culinary, and front office, to ensure successful event execution.
• Utilize hotel Property Management System (onQ) and Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce/Delphi.fdc) to manage room blocks and generate reports.
• Work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction and successful event delivery.
• Suggest event setup and menu solutions creatively within budget constraints.
• Participate in daily and weekly status meetings and generate revenue forecast reports.
