Group Facilitator Part Time

About the position

The Group Facilitator position at ARK Behavioral Health involves facilitating psychotherapy groups for a Detox/Residential substance abuse treatment facility. The role requires a skilled professional experienced in treating addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders, with a focus on trauma-informed care. The facilitator must work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, demonstrating strong organizational and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients in a substance abuse treatment facility.
• Provide clinical and procedural expertise to staff members through mutual consultation.
• Perform psychosocial evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans and interventions.
• Document all patient-related activities in a timely and professional manner according to agency policy.
• Complete administrative tasks related to job assignments in a timely manner.
• Participate in clinical utilization reviews and interdisciplinary team sessions for patient assessment and treatment planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related human services field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in drug and alcohol treatment.
• Knowledge of state and federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws.
• Proficiency in communication, observation, and written skills.
• Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Understanding of addiction issues, co-occurring disorders, and the 12-Step Recovery Program.

Nice-to-haves

• CDCA, LMFT, LCDC, LCDC I, LCDC II certifications preferred.

Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from $42,000 to $45,000 per year.
• Part-time work schedule with hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
