About the position

The Group Home Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of group homes, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and support. This role requires a compassionate leader dedicated to enhancing residents' lives while effectively managing staff and resources. Key responsibilities include implementing care plans, maintaining resident rights, and fostering a positive community environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of group homes, assisted living, and memory care facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations related to resident rights and quality of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and staff.
  • Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service.
  • Oversee financial management including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control measures.
  • Foster a supportive environment for residents by promoting social engagement and community involvement.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor the effectiveness of care plans and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with social work professionals to address the emotional and psychological needs of residents.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior care management or related fields such as assisted living or memory care.
  • Strong understanding of resident rights and advocacy within a group home setting.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in budgeting and resource management.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Knowledge of care planning processes and best practices in home community care.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships with residents and families.
  • A background in social work or related disciplines is preferred but not required.
