About the position

The Group Home Program Supervisor at REM Community Services plays a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position involves overseeing the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP), managing a team of caregivers, and providing direct support to individuals in daily activities. The supervisor is responsible for administrative duties such as staff hiring, training, and scheduling, while also facilitating community involvement and ensuring the well-being of those served.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP).
• Participate in administrative duties including staff hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight.
• Supervise a team of Caregivers supporting individuals in the program.
• Provide support to individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care.
• Split duties between providing direct support, professional activities, and supervision.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years related work experience with social services or behavioral health population.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance for 1 year not including permit.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with team members and those served.
• Strong organizational abilities to maintain staffing and schedules.
