Group Leader- Cable Assembly

About the position

Hunter Engineering is seeking a Group Leader Cable Assembly for our electronics plant located in Raymond, Mississippi. This role involves coordinating and organizing assembly work, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. The Group Leader will work closely with the supervisor to plan and organize work according to the daily schedule, providing oversight and guidance to team members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coordinating assembly work and possess strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Wear all safety equipment and follow safety rules, promoting safety in the work areas.
• Be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including supervisors and technicians.
• Train new team members and coordinate training efforts as needed.
• Assign team members to perform duties to support production.
• Ensure process lines are operating and provide maintenance support when needed.
• Check and communicate with the PIC and supervisor about outages or equipment conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to use hand tools.
• Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic skill level in computer programs.
