As the Group Living Director at Forest Ridge, you will play a crucial role in the lives of high-risk young women aged 13 to 18 who are navigating significant challenges such as aggression, mental illness, substance abuse, and the impacts of gang involvement. Your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive and structured environment that fosters rehabilitation and personal growth. You will be expected to show up every day with a commitment to helping these students make real changes in their lives, providing them with the vision, motivation, life skills, education, and self-discipline necessary for success. In this position, you will be a solid object for the students, meaning you will be a reliable presence who is patient and understanding, yet firm in holding them accountable. You will need to remain calm in stressful situations and focus on moving the students forward in their treatment programs. Your role will involve planning and overseeing programs specifically designed for juvenile offenders, ensuring that they are rehabilitated and prepared to reintegrate into the community as non-offenders. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing a treatment team model, conducting staff meetings, and fostering team-building activities. Monitoring the quality of program content and delivery will be essential, as will developing positive relationships with the community and associated agencies. As a member of the management team, you will participate in the overall management of Forest Ridge, contributing to a collaborative and effective work environment.
