About the position

The Group Manager Logistics II is responsible for overseeing multiple locations for one large customer or multiple customer accounts, managing approximately $8M to $11M in operating revenue. This role focuses on improving services provided to customers, developing performance measurements, and leading a team of Logistics Managers. The position also involves profit and loss responsibility and requires a commitment to the company's core values of Trust, Innovation, Expertise, Collaboration, and Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and solve operational issues with accounts by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
  • Manage one or more customer accounts to meet established metrics and performance expectations.
  • Manage customer relationships and identify potential opportunities for business growth.
  • Ensure financial objectives are met and grow revenue for assigned accounts.
  • Supervise, develop, and manage performance for assigned employees, maintaining a positive employee relations environment.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and coach/mentor direct reports and management team.
  • Maintain a proactive safety program within accounts consistent with company policy.
  • Manage profit and loss statements for assigned accounts and implement actions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or an additional two (2) years of relevant work experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Six (6) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry-related field required.
  • Five (5) years or more managing, leading, and developing direct reports required.
  • Five (5) years or more managing large multi-level teams preferred.
  • Four (4) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred.
  • Four (4) years or more demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required.
  • Three (3) years or more prior experience in leading teams in a LEAN work environment preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more customer interaction required.
  • Two (2) years or more managing customer KPIs required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience providing customer and senior level management presentations preferred.

Nice-to-haves
