About the position

The Group Logistics Manager II is responsible for overseeing multiple locations for a large customer or multiple customer accounts, managing approximately $8M to $11M in operating revenue. This role focuses on improving service delivery, developing performance metrics, and leading a team of Logistics Managers. The position also involves profit and loss responsibility for assigned accounts and may assist in business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and solve operational issues by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
  • Manage customer accounts to meet established metrics and performance expectations.
  • Ensure financial objectives are met and grow revenue for assigned accounts.
  • Supervise, develop, and manage performance for assigned employees.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and mentor direct reports and management team.
  • Maintain a proactive safety program consistent with company policy.
  • Manage profit and loss statements for assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or two additional years of relevant work experience required.
  • Six years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry-related field required.
  • Five years or more managing, leading, and developing direct reports required.
  • Four years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA required; DOT and Hazmat knowledge based on the accounts required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years or more managing large multi-level teams preferred.
  • Some sales experience preferred.
  • Some multi-client experience preferred.
