The Group Manager Logistics I at Ryder is responsible for managing the financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple accounts within the logistics sector. This role focuses on the profitable retention and growth of business, ensuring that financial, employee, safety, and customer satisfaction goals are met. The position involves setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing feedback to employees, while also ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple accounts.
• Set goals and conduct performance evaluations for direct and indirect reports.
• Provide ongoing employee feedback and maintain corrective staffing levels.
• Conduct quality selection of qualified personnel and ensure training in Transportation/Distribution Management.
• Review KPI tracking and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Conduct self-audits of location processes and individual accountabilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety reporting and reduce accidents compared to previous years.
• Manage invoice reconciliation and revenue recognition processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or equivalent experience.
• Five years or more of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
• Five years or more of experience managing large multi-level teams.
• Three years or more of demonstrated experience in developing and implementing logistics solutions.
• Strong project management and facilitation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in a LEAN work environment preferred.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Multi-client experience preferred.
