About the position

The Group Manager of Product Technical Program Management at Meta is responsible for leading teams to drive strategy and execution across various product areas, including Facebook App, Instagram, and Ads & Business Products. This role involves breaking down complex initiatives into prioritized programs, managing dependencies, and ensuring high-quality results. The manager will also focus on scaling product usage and maintaining clarity of product vision while fostering strong relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and set direction for teams and individual team member success.
  • Identify and solve systemic, organizational-wide problems and influence relationships.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define needs for strategic planning and execution.
  • Lead technical discussions and be a thought leader during product reviews.
  • Design and execute process and strategy frameworks for product-related goal setting and decision making.
  • Articulate technology requirements, goals, and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Integrate technical knowledge and trends to influence business direction through data-driven analysis.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Provide hands-on program management during all project phases.
  • Perform risk and change management on projects.
  • Influence program/product direction and simplify complexity.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of software industry experience, including systems engineering or technical product/program management.
  • 7+ years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products.
  • Experience communicating and representing work to senior leadership.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
  • Experience establishing and leading teams through multi-disciplinary relationships.
