About the position

The Group Engineering Manager will lead a team focused on designing and developing AI-driven internal tools aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of developer success across all engineering teams at Intuit. This role requires a strong background in software engineering and a proven track record in team leadership within a customer-centric organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of internal engineering tools.
  • Drive the adoption and integration of new technologies to improve tool functionality and developer experience.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach, ensuring tools and technologies developed meet developer needs and enhance engineering productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tool development with the overall business and engineering strategy.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of product development from concept to deployment and support.
  • Mentor and develop team members to advance their skills and career paths.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering.
  • Ensure robustness, resilience, and scalability of internal tools.

Requirements

  • Strong technical acumen with exceptional knowledge in software development and cutting-edge technology.
  • Proven experience in leading software engineering teams and delivering impactful software projects.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects that require cross-organizational alignment and collaboration.
  • Ability to tackle challenging issues integrating complex systems and technologies.
  • Proven record of making customer experience and data-driven product decisions in partnership with Product and Program Management teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously proposes new tools and updates to keep up with the fast-paced technology landscape.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in software development and management (7+ years preferred).
  • Previous experience in developing internal engineering tools is highly desirable.
