About the position

The Group Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the network infrastructure. This role requires collaboration with technical and business applications personnel to ensure that network architectures meet business objectives and service level agreements (SLAs). The position involves working independently and as part of a team, focusing on network performance, reliability, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, Wireless Controller, access points)
  • Configure and administer F5 & DDI Infoblox related requests and issues
  • Participate in Major Incidents / Troubleshooting bridges to identify root cause
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Plan and execute in-depth technical activity, influencing the direction of activities/plans
  • Investigate and help resolve issues on customer’s network and IT estates
  • Manage support cases to enable fast resolution that exceeds customer expectations
  • Ensure accurate recording of all cases using the company’s ticket management tool
  • Support and take ownership of ad-hoc projects
  • Support wider team with knowledge sharing via knowledge base communications and contribution at team meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience
  • 11+ years of related work experience
  • Industry certification is a plus
  • Highly developed technical expertise in multiple key operating/networking system or subsystem areas
  • Ability to operate independently in developing and implementing complex technical solutions
  • Experience supporting in-house developed business applications and working directly with application development teams
  • Ability to leverage scripting and other tools to automate routine tasks

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies
